Since the 1950s, our first collection of outdoor furniture was already being conceived, designed and manufactured in our Anneyron plant, in the Drôme department. Insistence on comfort, strength and ease-of-use constitute the basis of each LAFUMA MOBILIER product.
COMPACT AND LIGHT, FUNCTIONAL FURNITURE
With the launch of paid holidays and the spread of car ownership, our portable metal and fabric furniture rapidly became ideal vacation companions. At the time, the specifications also required that the table or recliner chair had to "fit in the boot of a Renault Dauphine". Then from the historic "little folding chairs" to the Pop Ups with their compact folding, many models marvellously combine comfort, style, and quality. Today our creation teams are continuing the constant work of seeking furniture functionality: practical, stacking, easy to dismantle or repair.

Patented by LAFUMA MOBILIER, the innovation of elastomer clips is replacing the famous elastic suspension which links the fabric to the frame. These clips provide better weight distribution, securing firmer comfort and perfect back support.
ZERO GRAVITY

Moreover, LAFUMA MOBILIER was the first brand to apply the ZERO GRAVITY position on a recliner chair.
The LAFUMA recliner's secret:
It was designed to offer THE perfect relaxation position. The design has been developed in collaboration with the medical profession whose main recommendation was to achieve a position in which the legs are elevated slightly above the heart. This position is called "ZERO GRAVITY", as it corresponds to that which the human body naturally takes when weightless, with the legs and the torso forming an angle of 127°.
