By integrating recycled wood fibre, natural resin, and hemp into its products, the brand has also made the choice to promote recycling.

    Enhancing the value of local companies’ knowledge and reducing transportation as much as possible are priorities for Lafuma. The thread for fabric is therefore made in Switzerland and woven in Isère (France); plastic parts are manufactured in the Ain department (France) and steel, in Italy.

    Lafuma has established a cycle of recovery and reuse for its machines and materials. In 1954, the company designed its first furniture with the same materials and machines as its backpacks.
