LAFUMA MOBILIER JOINS PEUGEOT FRÈRES INDUSTRIE

LAFUMA MOBILIER, a French manufacturer of outdoor furniture since 1954, headquartered in Anneyron in the Drôme Department, has been owned by the Swiss group CALIDA since 2014. The company has now entered into exclusive negotiations for the sale of its shares to PEUGEOT FRÈRES INDUSTRIE, a company 100% owned by the family holding Établissements Peugeot Frères.

With three manufacturing sites and 230 employees in France, LAFUMA MOBILIER is joining the family-owned PEUGEOT group to support the development of its brand in France and internationally, where the Drôme-based company generates more than 50% of its revenue, distributing its products in over 40 countries. PEUGEOT FRÈRES INDUSTRIE thus values the unique expertise of LAFUMA MOBILIER: practical and ingenious products for home equipment, complementing other MAISON PEUGEOT brands such as PEUGEOT SAVEURS, MONBENTO, TIVOLY, JULBO, BRETAGNE CÉRAMIQUE INDUSTRIE, and SIGMA.

Owned by CALIDA since 2014, the Swiss group has warmly welcomed the project of selling LAFUMA MOBILIER to PEUGEOT FRÈRES INDUSTRIE: the reputation of the PEUGEOT brand, its family capital with strong values, and its industrial history make it a logical continuation for the development of the LAFUMA MOBILIER brand and products.

The effective transfer will take place during the third quarter of 2024 after consultation with employee representative bodies. It will include all subsidiaries of LAFUMA MOBILIER S.A, including LALLEMAND S.A, a plastics specialist in the Ain Department, and SHERPA LOGISTIQUE (Drôme).

The year 2024 is more than ever a pivotal year for our brand with the poplar leaf logo. It celebrates its 70th anniversary with a special edition of vintage products that are meeting great success, an expansion of ranges to equip the garden, which has become an additional room of the house, as well as a new e-commerce website with spare parts and replacement fabrics to support our customers throughout the lifespan of our products.
