LAFUMA MOBILIER was born in 1954, in Drôme. To understand its history, we have to go back a little more than 20 years, to the 1930s. Three ingenious brothers – Alfred, Victor and Gabriel Lafuma – invented the metal frame backpack. The combination of the comfort of the canvas and the resistance of the steel tube heralds a real revolution in the world of hiking ! From backpack to seat, there is only one step. The idea progressed little by little and the first folding seat saw the light of day after the war. It must be said that the context lends itself perfectly... The era of paid leave is in full swing, and many French people are taking advantage of these few annual days of relaxation !
