The choice of fabric is absolutely essential when it comes to buying a recliner. At LAFUMA MOBILIER, most of our fabrics are made by the French company Serge Ferrari, from a material called Batyline®. Batyline® is a polyester combined with a protective layer of PVC, making it particularly suitable for outdoor furniture. Batyline® is popular for its durability and ease of maintenance. We can distinguish :
- Batyline® ISO, with a 1 thread / 1 thread weave that offers excellent resistance to tearing and UV rays.
- Batyline® Duo, with a 2 thread / 1 thread weave, is even more resistant than those mentioned above. What's more, it has a mottled effect for an unmissable aesthetic appeal.
In addition to this range of easy-care, hard-wearing outdoor covers, we offer padded covers for even greater comfort. As with most of our products, these covers are designed for outdoor use but can also be used inside your home, so you can use your product whatever the season.
- The padded AirComfort® fabric is made up of three layers of breathable material thanks to its micro-perforations. The permeability of these microperforations means the seat dries quickly. This makes it ideal for relaxing on a terrace or indoors.
BeComfort® padded fabric is made up of three layers of breathable material. A material that provides a high-comfort 3-layer "honeycomb" mattress. Its solution-dyed yarn gives it perfect UV resistance. It will withstand a downpour if you forget to put your relaxer away.
As a user of a zero gravity recliner, you have every reason to want to look after your product to prolong its life. Cleaning seems to be an essential step, to preserve the initial appearance of the fabric, but also that of the frame. Although most people think about cleaning their recliner during the winter months, it can also be done at any time of the year, as long as you use the right method.
To clean the fabric of a LAFUMA MOBILIER recliner, you can use soapy water and a sponge. However, we recommend not using the abrasive side of the sponge to avoid damaging the fibers.
When it comes to drying the fabric or mattress of the recliner, outdoor drying is recommended. However, our models are designed for outdoor use. So you generally have a choice of water-repellent or breathable materials. This means that there will be no moisture build-up that could spoil the product.
For the frame and steel tube, we recommend using a damp microfibre cloth. This will easily remove any dust or traces of dirt that may be found on this surface, particularly around the feet. Don't hesitate to remove any glides that may be present on the feet, for a more detailed cleaning. They are removable and can even be changed.
Finally, if you are cleaning your outdoor furniture before winter storage, be sure to store it once it is dry. It's also advisable to cover your outdoor furniture with a protective cover and avoid contact with standing water to prevent rust.
Also remember to oil your relaxer's joints regularly to prevent squeaking. The epoxy treatment of the steel structure resists rust and light rain. In winter, protect your recliners with covers and store them in a dry, sheltered place.

The special thing about this armchair is that the frame remains the same, whatever model you choose. So you can choose the fabric that suits you best, depending on the width of seat you want.
Changing the technical fabric of a POP UP armchair extends its life. Over the years, despite the quality of the BATYLINE or Airlon fabric chosen by our workshops, the sun or bad weather can damage this part of the product. On our website, you'll find all the parts you need to replace it, so you don't have to change your whole chair.
Our products come with a 5-year guarantee. If you want to extend the life of your technical fabric even further, simply clean it regularly with a sponge and soapy water. It's important not to use the abrasive part of the sponge. Airlon can be washed in a washing machine at 30 degrees. Air drying is recommended. Chairs stored indoors or in a cover when not in use also have a longer lifespan.
Finally, changing the cover of a POP UP armchair can also be a question of style. If you're changing your decor, you can count on a multitude of different colours to find the one that suits your new taste.

Changing the fabric of a LAFUMA MOBILIER product can extend its lifespan or change its decoration. A few precautions are necessary to ensure you choose the right size.
Ideally, if you know the precise model name of your armchair or recliner, you can easily find the replacement cover on our site. You can also use the LFM reference, which can be found on the product invoice, in your customer area or on the white label on the back of the cover.
If you don't have this information, you can measure your chair. On our product sheets, you'll find all the measurements so you can easily compare them with the ones you get.
Simply measure the width of the unfolded product, for example the backrest at the two ends of the tube, and count the number of clips or laces that hold the fabric to the backrest.
If you're in any doubt about the size of canvas you need, don't hesitate to contact our customer service team. We'll be able to help you if you send us photos of the product or the reference number (label on the fabric in particular).
