Conceived, designed and manufactured in Anneyron
When in 1954 the brand presented its first line of portable outdoor furniture, everything was conceived, designed and manufactured at Anneyron, in Drôme. This is still the case today and LAFUMA MOBILIER can thus proudly claim its responsible furnitures.
Insistence on comfort, strength and ease of use constitute the basis of each LAFUMA MOBILIER product. The thickness of the cushion pads, the choice of fabrics combining technicality & aesthetics, and the study of the best body posture, are the fundamental points in the development of each product. A LAFUMA MOBILIER chair, lounger or deckchair is an invitation to relax.
Innovation & Design
For some years, innovation and design have been central to creation. Iconic models like the loungers Relax or Pop Up, still listed in the catalogue, wrote the first pages of LAFUMA MOBILIER's history, and the company has not stopped imagining and producing new collections and patenting innovations. Ancône, Cocoon, Bayanne or Sphinx register LAFUMA MOBILIER as a clear player in the design world.
Made in Anneyron, is today's guarantee of controlled design and manufacture by integrating the entire production chain. LAFUMA MOBILIER is a player committed to the economic development of its region. We prioritise local hiring and regional sourcing with a demand for quality - 68% of raw materials come from France (and 98% come from Europe).
More than a hundred employees enthusiastically perpetuate LAFUMA's "furniture" know-how.
Metal: aluminium and steel know-how
Paint: crucial step combining style and quality
Plastics: the secret of functionality
Stitching: pride in having stitching lines in the territory!
Assembly: "marriage" of metal and textile
All these trade shops are installed at our two French production sites: the historic Anneyron (Drôme) site and the Lallemand subsidiary in Balmay (Ain). In priority we select nearby partners and suppliers. So the fabric yarn is manufactured and woven in Isère, the paints come from Montbrison (Loire), our plastic parts are produced in Ain, our Airlon fabrics are woven in Vosges and printed in Tarare (Rhône)...
French designer and manufacturer
Achieving Guaranteed French Origin certification is not a chance matter. It is the recognition of industrial commitment and warrants the quality of the products. For Arnaud Du Mesnil, the managing director, "we wanted to be awarded this independent, challenging certification, as it helps to better inform our customers, by guaranteeing the French origin of our products. It's also a valuable tool for standing out on the market, mostly imported, attracting our distributors and for our international development."
Today, LAFUMA MOBILIER sells its products worldwide. The brand is known and recognised for its know-how that 160 employees perpetuate while innovating and staying faithful to its DNA.
