LALLEMAND, the LAFUMA MOBILIER subsidiary, is granted the MORE label

Events & Meetings

In 2021, our company LALLEMAND based in Balmay, in the Ain department (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), was awarded the first European label which values the actions of plastics processors within the circular economy and the integration of recycled plastics in manufacturing.

What is the MORE Label?

The MORE Label “MObilisés pour REcycler” was created by the Fédération de la Plasturgie et des Composites and is awarded to industries which “source recycled plastic materials in their manufacturing”. Each year, plastics processors must declare the amount of recycled raw materials that they use in order to continue to qualify for the label.

« Today, an increasing amount of industrial companies integrate more recycled plastics into their manufacturing processes, to meet goals fixed by the Government. It is a real corporate social responsibility approach to own this label. », says Benoît Hennaut, President of the Fédération de la Plasturgie et des Composites.

In May 2019, EuPC (European Plastics Converters) developed the MORE digital tool, in conjunction specifically with the Fédération de la Plasturgie et des Composites, and it was then validated by the European Commission. This tool allows for collection, treatment and reporting of the volume of recycled plastics, which then become a new source of raw materials for European plastics processors.

What does the MORE label certify, and what are the criteria?

To obtain this label, industries must respond to the questionnaire on the MORE platform, completing it with data from the previous year. They must ensure it is correctly filled in to have a chance of obtaining it. To do this, plastics processors state the N-1 recycled polymers used, the amounts used for each application, the total quantity of polymers, if external verification is in place, and lastly evaluate the processability of recycled polymers, used with respect to their conversion technology.

This label highlights good practices and is proof of a progression in the incorporation of plastics materials recycling. Companies therefore obtain validation of their CSR efforts and of their innovations in terms of the circular economy.

LAFUMA MOBILIER and its subsidiary LALLEMAND rewarded for their engagement

The MORE label acknowledges the work done by our teams, to choose plastic materials which reduce our environmental impact. Continually committed to sustainability, each day we work towards even more eco-design, revalidation and recyclability with our sustainable furniture.

Thanks to Christine GODET, Deputy Regional Representative for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, who came to award us this distinction in person on 11 January 2021.
